Personally, I don't. Nor will I ever in the future. It's just a ticket for hassle.
I don't, since it can stirr up trouble but I suppose if you do that you would have to have a bulletproof disclaimer for your customers to agree to.
This certainly would be a problem, however I personally do not believe that it would be the biggest problem.
It's a difficult issue, I guess it would depend on the exact content
Adult hosting means the hosting of pornography, it doesn't mean that only adults can use those services. The content is always the same, usually: pictures of naked women, and at time pictures of women having sex with men. Then of course you have other pornography websites with pictures of naked men, and at times men having sex with other men. It's pretty much always the same old stuff.
I would have my security guy check it daily for non-legal porn
Hi there Max.
That may be good when you're small, however what about when you become pretty large? Thankfully though in the U.K., if you even know about child pornography, you can be sent to prison - the rules in the U.K. are very strict, I think they may be stricter than those in the U.S. even.
Also, do you think he'd enjoy wading through pages and pages of pornography ranging from pictures of naked women, to those of naked men, and then pictures and even films of naked women and naked men having intercourse? Then even pictures and films of same-sex couples having intercourse? It isn't everyones favourite cup of tea.
What's more, in the U.K. (not sure about the rest of world), you are unable to say that one cannot host pictures and films of naked men and men having intercourse with each other yet one can host the same content about women. Because then that is discrimination. So, in the U.K., it's either all or none.
Personally, I think the best way to avoid problems completely is to not allow it. Many clients may be upset if the company they host with has other servers for pornography. It'll also be a hassle to make sure that all the content is legal. What about then people trying to hack your server to gain access to free pornography, and what about those who hack servers that host pornography just for fun? There really is a lot of hassle with hosting adult websites, and if you think that doing hosting without adult websites is hard enough, you'll discover a new meaning for the word hard when you start hosting adult websites.
It's best to just avoid it completely, and be safe.
Best be safe than sorry, as they say.
