About the "Web Hosting in Canada" section

Hey guys,

Welcome to the new section on the forum dedicated to Canadian web hosting market.

The idea is pretty simple. Each page is a profile for a single web hosting company, and the space underneath belongs to the community. You can share what your experience with that host has been like, ask questions, flag concerns, recommend them or warn people off, whatever's useful.

I decided to start with Canadian hosts only. A couple of reasons for that:
  • It's a smaller market, so it's easier to do a decent job of it from the start.
  • Canadian providers don't really get the same attention the big American names do, even though some of them are genuinely solid.
  • If this works the way I hope it does, I'll think about opening it up more broadly later.
A few things to keep in mind:
  • The pages aren't promotional listings. They belong to the conversation, not the company.
  • If you've used one of these hosts, current or past, your input is exactly what makes any of this worth anything. Good experiences, bad ones, somewhere in between — all of it helps.
  • If there's a Canadian host you think should have a page and doesn't, drop me a line and I'll look into adding it.
  • If you work for one of the listed companies and want to jump in on your page to answer questions or respond to feedback, please do. Just be upfront about who you are and stick to the usual community rules. You can address sales related questions that are asked directly, however.
And a quick note for official company reps:
  • Message me and I can add your username to your company's listing, so people know who to reach out to directly.
  • If you want something added or updated on your page, send it over and I'll take a look. I do hold editorial approval on those changes, just to keep the pages balanced and useful for members.
Honestly, what I'd love this to become over time is a place someone can land on when they're shopping for a Canadian host and walk away with a sense of what they're getting into with a company of their interest.

Have a look around and if something feels off about the format, if you spot an error, or you think it could work better a different way, tell me.

Thanks,
Artashes
