5jelly Free VPS

Does anyone know if this is any good or is there a catch? Out of curiosity I ran a search for free VPS and came up with 5jelly but it all seems too good to be true.

Free standard offers:
2.4 Ghz Processor
20GB Storage
1GB Memory
Linux or Windows
£0.00

Has anyone tried this yet?

It's a referral based scam. It isn't worthy your time. Search for it in known forums such as freevps.us and that'll tell you a good bit of how they deal.

Free hosting is risky enough but a free VPS? I hope you won't be running your hosting business you're linking to in your signature on this free VPS.

i come across one of these on Facebook a couple years ago and for a bit of fun i signed up just to see what you were getting ( was never going to use for anything critical). it took 2 weeks to get the details and when i did get them, i could not logon. only support was through a forum and it seems i was not the only one and it seems everyone had the same IP. So to me is was basically a shared account with SSH access, but well over crowded. i cant even remember the company or the login details now

Yeah but it's so easy to find out. A simple google of the name shows up all these sorta threads.

True, but why do people still seem to buy from the kiddie hosts on ebay offering unlimited everything reseller plans for $2 a year. Its because they only think of the $$ and dont do any research

Why wouldn't want to buy them!? $2/year for unlimited everything is a steal!!

/joking aside. I'm still waiting for eBay to ban such schemes.

every now and then if a new one of these gets listed i like to test them with simple questions any host will know the answer.
i remember asking one if they offer dedicated IPs and rDNS and their reply was what are they
