Hey,
Has anyone had a problem with 2CO?
I have one at the minute, I already have an account with them for myself.
I was setting up an account for someone else and the setup fee went through but there was a problem with their server timing out...long story.

Anyway, the account wasnt setup and the setup fee was already sent.
The person I was setting it up for didnt want the account anymore so I sent an email asking to refund the setup fee....
ANother problem now...
They couldnt find the fee and said it wasnt sent through.
After about 4 days of 12hour minimum replies from the support reps, I decided to contact the admin and ask for a refund and gave them the transaction number.
I had already given the number to support but they just wouldnt check it nomatter how many times I said about checking that as it would show the money went through.

Anyway...The admin checked the number and the money had gone through, as I knew already. Then I was told the money would be refunded right away.
3 days later and still waiting.....
So after about 6 days I still havent got the money and as you can probably guess, Im a little annoyed at the minute...

Hopefully I will get it today as I was told earlier...
Will reply if I get the money or not anyway, I think they need to sort out their support department quite a lot

Hi John

I personally havent experienced any problems with them YET and I hope it will remain that way :) Regarding your problem it is best if you gave them a call at 614-921-2450 and see what is going on and get this resolved as soon as possible because if you don't then later on they might include stating that you didn't get back to them earlier and they won't refund your money at all. This is just a friendly suggestion...do let us know what happens.

Good Luck!

OK at last I got the money back today :)
It took far too long though as I gave all needed information the first time I contacted them.
Glad its sorted out now but it has not exactly made me think 2CO's support is the best around...
Hopefully I wont have any problems with support if its needed for my own account anyway

I have seen a lot of people complaining about their support, they took over 24hours to reply to a question I had when I first signed up for my own account with them which didnt exactly impress me either but then again paysystems took even longer..

There isnt much choice really for a CC processer, either 2CO or paysystems.
Not sure what paysystems support is like but I doubt it could be as bad as I experienced with 2CO's trying to get this sorted.

The person that finally refunded me did apologize because it took so long but it still shouldnt have taken that long, if their support knew how to deal with it then it should have been sorted a lot earlier but I had to move up to the admin level to get some help

Wait until 2CO freezes your account or somehow messes up a transaction.

Their idea is good offering merchant accounts to everyone without a business ID or business bank account..... but their service still isnt as great as a real merchant account would be.

Dear Client,
Please forgive our ignorance to client convenience but one of our newer members of staff thought it would be fun to see how long it would take to for you to react after seeing your account freeze which we couldn't car less about because we will argue so much you'll give up on asking for a refund. We apologise for the long sentences but as I said. We like to ignore client convenience.

(Just joking. I've never actually used this service so I wouldn't know anything about them)

no one uses paypal? Especially now that they are owned by ebay -they are a good option for small businesses.

also, what about a real merchant account?

nowadays if you are in the USA its is easy to get a real merchant account and pay a LOT LESS commission (less than 3%) on each sale.

I use Paypal and 2Checkout. The path of merchant status will be next and that is being investigated. I havent had chance to add up the numbers though but I believe it will be better with a merchant account.

if you do $1000 or more a month - get a merchant account

you will save a TON over paypal and 2checkout

i have both paypal and a merchant account

About $1000 a month is about the same as I have heard in the past also.

You would hope so etechsupport ;) The HostingRefuge site was recently restored from a 1 year old backup, and in the last 2 months that it came back live there have been a few older threads being replied to from time to time.

I will lock this now :) Glad to see you join us and we hope to see you post more soon.
