How much should you spend on advertising?

I spent near about $50 per day for one week on Google, Facebook.

In return I got nothing from Google. Even its hard to get one single customer from Social Media advertisement so I prefer buying forum banner ads or from individual website owners.

So you only get results if you chuck a lot of money in to advertising?
At most, I tried $50 per day for one week. Thousands of clicks, but zero conversions. I think this happened because of my lack of experience or knowledge in Google Ads.

Is this a good method? Will it work?
How many customers did you get from this, and how much did you spend on this?
I got few customers from sticky threads. I do not have idea about banner ads, I am trying this from last few days.

This makes sense, although they should make it easier.

Wonderful. Thank you for your help, I will try this and see how it goes.
Is there anything else that you tried that helped you gain customers and good reviews over time?

As mentioned by @kunnusingh, you're not going to see much return from Google Ads. There are bigger companies with deeper pockets than you spending more money, they don't exactly do it for the clicks and conversions but for the brand recognition because they have the money to do so.

You might gain clicks from Google Ads, but the conversion rate will be less than 1%.

I can't give you advice on the best advertising methods and how to gain customers, as I don't know what type of market segment you're aiming for. Ideally it's a good idea to have all this laid out in your business plan, so you have a plan and can stick to it.

A substantial budget should be allocated to achieve results from platforms like Google, Facebook, and Instagram. I believe, these platforms primarily enhance awareness but are ineffective in generating leads. We had a similar experience with Google and were not satisfied with the results.

Yeah, that's what I'm hearing on this forum.
Did you try anything else that worked for you?
Thank you.

It all depends on what you're wanting to accomplish with the ads. I have campaigns running that are $5/day, and others for clients running $1000/day. They serve much different purposes.

The keywords you're targeting are going to directly affect your spending budget, but there are a few things to do to make sure you're not wasting money!

Only advertise at certain times of the day, or in specific regions, or not on weekend etc. Tailor your ads to suit your target.

Niche your advertising. Don't go after "cpanel hosting", you're going to blow the budget on just a couple of clicks. Check your keywords as to whether you're targeting broad match, phrase, etc. The more narrow you get, the better your results.

Now, get REALLY focused on things. Maybe you're offering "web hosting for accountants", or you're targeting a specific plugin in Wordpress, or a particular e-commerce software. You really need to niche yourself if you're going after ads on Google.

There's a big difference between "western shirts" (22k searches @ $2.83/click) and "pearl snap shirts" (14k searches @ $2.55/click). The "pearl snap shirts" is a much more specific search, and it's someone looking to buy or find something specific. Someone looking for "western shirts" could be looking for anything. Tshirt, tanktop, roper shirts, etc.

I'll take the "pearl snap shirts" search all day long! Fewer searches, but they're a buyer!

Google Ads works well. The main problem is if you are not experiences on setups will need to spend some budget it could be $20,00-$30,00 before getting results. However ones you setup your campaigns well, you can double your profit by comparison with the budget you spent. The main question is if you have and you want to waste some budget from the begging.

I mean, the header says it all.
Really, if I am going for Google Ads, how much should you spend a day?
Thank you.
The amount you should spend on Google Ads depends on your goals and budget. A good starting point is to set a daily budget you’re comfortable with, then optimize based on the results you get over time.
