VMware buys Zimbra

Zimbra was acquired by VMware from Yahoo! in a deal that is expected to close as early as April. The search engine purchased Zimbra in 2007 for $350 million. However, the financial terms of VMware’s acquisition were not disclosed. Zimbra, which saw an overall growth of 86 percent last year, has more than 55 million inboxes.
