Vertiv (NYSE: VRT) has unveiled Vertiv Environet Connect, a cloud-based tool designed to simplify data center management, particularly for network edge and distributed infrastructure environments. As AI workloads increasingly shift to the network edge, therefore this tool addresses the rising demand for better visibility and control over remote locations. The platform’s user-friendly interface further enables seamless integration of critical infrastructure components, making it ideal for diverse applications, from uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems to power distribution units (PDUs), thermal management, and more.
Environet Connect is now available across EMEA and North America, offering real-time monitoring, customized notifications, and the ability to streamline operations through large-scale provisioning and firmware updates. Moreover, Vertiv’s vice president of Software & Digital Solutions, Wesley Lim, stressed the growing importance of edge environments for AI applications like predictive analytics and self-driving vehicles. “As AI moves closer to the edge, reducing latency and avoiding processing bottlenecks becomes critical. Environet Connect gives operational teams better control, thus ensuring maximum uptime,” Lim noted.
In addition, designed with both direct customers and managed service providers (MSPs) in mind, Environet Connect supports multi-tenancy, allowing a wide range of users to benefit from its capabilities. To enhance usability, Vertiv offers extensive support, including software training, helpdesk services, and asset management.
Furthermore, Vertiv has also introduced Vertiv 360AI, a suite of solutions specifically tailored to high-performance computing (HPC) and AI environments. Environet Connect integrates seamlessly with these solutions, providing a unified interface that meets the growing demands of the AI ecosystem. This cohesive approach is designed to help businesses maintain peak operational efficiency as they scale up their data center infrastructure in an increasingly AI-driven world.
