HostPapa, the cloud hosting services and web hosting solutions provider from Canada, acquired the security brand SecureLive and launched two new data centers. The previous owner of SecureLive was Add2Net. The two new data centers of HostPapa are situated in California and Amsterdam.
The SecureLive acquisition will further establish the position of Hostpapa in the cloud service marketplace in the US. It will also improve its capabilities for offering security products to businesses of different sizes. Another part of the acquisition deal was HostLabs – a cloud and premium infrastructure provider. The financial terms of the deal still remain undisclosed.
According to the HostPapa’s Chief Executive Officer and founder, Jamie Opalchuk, as a result of the acquisition, the company will level up its capability to provide businesses of all sizes throughout the world as well as those in the US, with only the best security products the market can presently deliver. This answers the company clients’ demands for local presence. The two additional data center locations are a testament to that and they also prove the strong commitment the company has towards its customers in both the US and Europe.
Because of the opening of the new data centers, HostPapa’s clients will now be able to take full advantage of cloud-based services and locally host their email and websites to make them available all over the world. This in turn will boost data transfer speeds as well as reduce latency. Usually, when a data center is in close proximity, its clients can rely on better overall website performance through optimized web page content delivery. The loading of web pages is also faster due to reduced distance between user and server.
This isn’t the first of HostPapa’s acquisitions. In Februsary of 2019, the company acquired Mezzohost – a webhosting provider situated in Vancouver, Canada, and focused on the delivery of online and hosting products for small and medium businesses, with its customer base mainly situated in Canada.
