KIOXIA has launched its new XD8 Series PCIe 5.0 E1.S SSDs, designed for cloud and hyperscale environments. Designed for AI and HPC workloads, the CDU integrates seamlessly into data centers, allowing operators to scale and improve sustainability. As demand for efficient cooling grows, Rittal positions its CDU as a key solution for managing heat in AI-driven data centers.

Amazon Data Services has acquired 118 acres in Douglas County, Georgia, for $37 million, further expanding its data center presence. This comes after Amazon’s 430-acre purchase in Covington earlier this year. While AWS doesn’t yet operate a cloud region in Georgia, Atlanta remains a key hub for its Edge locations, with major data center players like Microsoft and CoreSite also established in the area.

Microsoft’s 2024 Digital Defense Report calls for stricter countermeasures against nation-state cyberattacks, pushing governments to strengthen sanctions and update the UN Charter to allow more decisive responses to critical infrastructure threats.
