Oracle’s $40B Nvidia deal fuels OpenAI’s Stargate Texas data hub

Oracle will reportedly spend $40 billion on 400,000 Nvidia GB200 chips to power OpenAI’s massive Stargate campus in Abilene, Texas. This deal dwarfs earlier estimates of 64,000 units. The $500 billion Stargate project aims to build multiple gigawatt-scale data centers across the U.S., with OpenAI leasing Abilene’s 1.2GW site for 15 years. JPMorgan and Blue Owl back the project with a combined $14.6 billion investment.
