Nutanix and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have expanded their collaboration to streamline cloud migration, aiming to provide greater flexibility and support as businesses balance on-premises and cloud environments.
This partnership, focusing on Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) on AWS, simplifies migration, minimizes risks, and enhances the flexibility of hybrid cloud models for enterprises navigating today’s complex IT landscape.
With NC2 on AWS, enterprises can now integrate Nutanix’s infrastructure with AWS’s services, from storage and databases to AI tools, in a unified environment across both platforms. This integration helps businesses leverage AWS’s robust services while maintaining control over their operations, supporting a “cloud-smart” strategy that optimizes application placement and workload efficiency.
Nutanix’s Chief Commercial Officer Tarkan Maner affirms, “Our expanded partnership with AWS enhances cloud migration and adoption while opening new pathways for hybrid and on-premises cloud deployments.”
The partnership also provides key features like Nutanix Move, a tool that quickly transfers workloads without complex reconfigurations, simplifying migration management. Nutanix and AWS enable enhanced disaster recovery, IT automation, and seamless access to licensing options through the AWS Marketplace, allowing enterprises to operate with scalability and reduced costs.
Supporting this partnership, AWS offers promotional credits for migrations and proof-of-concept projects via the AWS Migration Acceleration Program. These incentives reduce costs for businesses transitioning workloads from VMware to NC2 on AWS, offering extra value during migration.
Accenture, a leader in consulting, endorses the partnership, recognizing it as a crucial step toward building a “strong, integrated digital core” for clients. Accenture’s Cloud First Global Lead, Andy Tay, noted that combining Nutanix and AWS’s capabilities drives agility and innovation for enterprises aiming to modernize rapidly. IDC Research VP Dave Pearson similarly views this collaboration as an adaptable solution that helps businesses navigate the demands of a swiftly evolving digital landscape.
