IBM has launched Nvidia H100 GPUs on its cloud platform, boosting AI capabilities for training and inferencing. Available in multiple global regions, the H100 GPUs promise up to 30x faster performance than previous A100 models. However, IBM trails competitors like AWS and Google, which have offered H100s for over a year. This move comes amidst IBM’s ongoing workforce reductions and plans to add Intel Gaudi 3 chips in 2025.
