Dataplace, a Dutch operator of data centers has announced the opening of its next colocation data center. Built in the Amsterdam Area of Netherlands, it is equipped with the most advanced and recent technologies related to sustainability, security and continuity. The Hoofddorp, Amsterdam data center has started operations in the 1st of May, 2020.
The colocation services of Dataplace are meant to serve both local and international clients. The data center’s building area is of 4500 square meters, with its collocation center spread over a space of 2000 square meters.
According to the Managing Director of Dataplace, Gerben van der Veen, the need for more colocation services in the Amsterdam metropolitan area is on the rise as business activity in the area also grows.
The opening of its sixth datacenter allows Dataplace to transform from a leading national player to a competing company on the international arena. They are customer focused and have a personal approach towards their clients.
The Operations Manager at Dataplace, Jan Bonke, also said that the data center’s technical design is in-house built and based on their own technical experience and expertise. According to him, their engineer team was able to come up with a revolutionary 2N solution, coupled with its own A & B power supply. Allegedly, the offer completely meets the requirements for a modern, high-tech data center.
Earlier this year Dataplace acquired the Nedzone datacenter – a colocation facility situated at the Netherlands’ Steenbergen area. The new acquisition is meant to play a vital role in its area by offering data center services for the Netherlands’ southern region.
Founded in the year 2010, Dataplace has been an important part of Eurofiber Group. It has also achieved a number of certifications, among them NEN 7510, ISO 27001, ISO 50001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and the ISAE-3402 type II declaration.
Datapace has also acquired Eura DC, a French datacenter operator. As a result of all these expansions and acquisitions, the company’s digital infrastructure now includes 8 high-tech datacenters with installed fiberoptic cable of 36000 km.
