Offering advanced compute instances, storage options, and services like Amazon ECS and EKS, the new us-east-1-nyc-2a Zone replaces the 2021 Local Zone. Located in New Jersey and linked to AWS’s Virginia region, this upgrade reflects AWS’s global push for next-gen Local Zones.
