OVHcloud refreshes Bare Metal line as enterprises reassess performance, control

OVHcloud has launched its range of Bare Metal 2026 generation dedicated servers at a particularly apt moment; with so many companies attempting to strike the perfect balance between performance and cost considerations. As digital workloads grow more complex, infrastructure choices now shape not only speed and scale, but also financial planning and environmental impact.

The new range runs on the latest AMD Ryzen and AMD EPYC processors. According to OVHcloud, the update responds directly to customer demand for higher core density, DDR5 memory, and stronger performance per watt. Companies increasingly run databases, container platforms, analytics engines, and blockchain nodes side by side. Therefore, they require hardware that can handle parallel workloads without creating unpredictable cost spikes.

OVHcloud has divided their portfolio into four categories. Rise 2026 caters to web environments and light virtualization. Game 2026 focuses on latency-sensitive gaming deployments with network protection enabled. Advance 2026 is targeted toward blockchain validation and database hosting. Meanwhile, Scale 2026 caters to data-intensive projects such as big data analytics and high-performance computing. It offers large memory capacity as well as confidential computing.

In addition, network architecture plays a central role. The servers include guaranteed public bandwidth between 1 and 5 Gbit per second, depending on configuration, alongside high capacity private connectivity for clustered environments. As a result, organizations can design distributed systems without relying entirely on shared cloud layers.

Sustainability also shapes the launch. OVHcloud continues to operate data centers that use watercooling technology to manage energy efficiency. At the same time, the company believes in compliance with security standards and a European view on data sovereignty. This follows increasing levels of scrutiny on data placement in operations generally.

However, as the public cloud grows, enterprises still prefer to have their own infrastructure for better pricing and control. Nevertheless, the Bare Metal 2026 generation indicates the changes that are being incorporated into the older server infrastructure.
