JetHost has completed the acquisition of Omnis Network, a US based web hosting provider that has operated continuously since 1999 and manages tens of thousands of active domains. The transaction brings one of the industry’s older independent registrars under new ownership at a time when consolidation continues to reshape the hosting market.
Omnis Network built its reputation over more than two decades as an ICANN accredited registrar and hosting provider focused on service stability and technical continuity. Over the years, the company has supported hundreds of thousands of customers, many of whom have remained on the platform for long periods. JetHost confirmed that Omnis customers will continue using their existing services without immediate operational changes, including hosting environments, email delivery, and domain management.
Rather than a rapid rebrand or infrastructure overhaul, JetHost plans a phased integration approach. According to the company, Omnis services will gradually transition onto JetHost’s platform over the coming months. During that period, customer accounts and data will remain intact, while backend systems are aligned to reduce long term operational friction.
The acquisition also extends to several independently run hosting brands previously connected to Omnis, including Little Oak, Carat Networks, BlueGravity Hosting, AM Hosting, and AmeriNOC. According to JetHost, these brands will remain as separate entities but will also benefit from shared access to infrastructure resources and updates.
From an industry point of view, this acquisition is part of a larger trend that sees fewer but more integrated hosting companies. The mid-sized hosting companies are finding it increasingly difficult to cope with the rising costs of infrastructure, security, and performance requirements. Acquisitions thus have ceased to be only about market expansion and have become a way of business sustaining.
JetHost boasts of two decades of experience in the hosting industry which it can use during this change phase. Although the company plans to upgrade the infrastructure, it has also stated that it will lead the pace of change with customer communication and service continuity.
For Omnis customers, the immediate future looks no different. However, over time, JetHost plans to implement new management interfaces and infrastructure upgrades as the systems are merged. The company has stated that it will give customers prior notice before any changes take place.
As the hosting industry continues to see consolidation among hosting providers, the JetHost and Omnis acquisition is one that reflects a more measured approach to integration.
