In an era where attention spans are shrinking and competition is fiercer than ever, businesses can no longer afford to ignore website speed.
The study, which surveyed over 1,000 consumers, underscores the direct correlation between website performance and customer behavior. A staggering 76% of online shoppers abandon slow websites, often before completing their purchase. More than half of respondents equate a brand’s website speed with its overall quality, reinforcing the idea that slow-loading pages can erode trust and damage reputation.
Beyond lost sales, speed impacts search rankings, making it an essential component of online visibility. Websites that load faster tend to rank higher on search engines, drawing in more organic traffic and reducing dependency on costly paid ads.

Interestingly, while 73% of customers are willing to tolerate minor delays for brands they trust, patience has its limits. If a page takes more than 10 seconds to load, frustration sets in, pushing potential buyers toward competitors.
