Now available in nine regions, including new launches in Brazil South and Italy North, the service is poised to grow into 24 more regions by 2025. This expansion highlights its commitment to global enterprises seeking reliable, scalable, and compliant cloud solutions.
Multinational giants such as Vodafone and The Craneware Group are leveraging Oracle Database@Azure to elevate their operations. Vodafone, with its deep-rooted reliance on Oracle Databases for mission-critical applications, has adopted the platform to streamline database integration across multiple clouds.
Pedro Sardo, Vodafone’s technology shared services director, emphasized the enhanced cost-efficiency, performance, and security that Oracle Database@Azure delivers, enabling improved digital services for millions of customers across Europe.
Similarly, The Craneware Group has integrated Oracle’s Exadata Database Service within its Trisus Business of Pharmacy platform, which supports over 12,000 healthcare facilities. CTO Abhilesh Gandhi praised the platform’s scalability and its alignment with Oracle’s distributed cloud strategy, enabling seamless management of complex operations like procurement and auditing while ensuring compliance.
Oracle and Microsoft are also enriching the platform with new features, such as interoperability with Azure Key Vault and SharePoint, real-time data replication via Oracle GoldenGate, and enhanced governance tools through Microsoft Purview.
Looking ahead, the introduction of Exadata Database Service on Exascale Infrastructure promises hyper-elastic scaling and cost-efficient pay-per-use models, broadening accessibility for businesses of all sizes.
