Is Windows more stable than Linux?

Back in the 90s, we were shown the projections of what Unix/Linux and Windows would be capable of over time and each year, the gap between the power of Linux and Windows widened. Generally, because Linux is more efficient, given a little bit of extra CPU or memory, Unix/Linux could do more...

cPanel ssl or Lets encrypt ssl?

I wouldn't pay for a cert to get one that lasts longer than 90 days. This is automated, so the cert renewal is not something you should concern yourself with if your host is decent. I'd only pay for a certificate where I need to give a good impression.

Rewrite your content on a regular basis

I have to agree with this. I recently helped out a friend with their site. The first thing I did was remove typos, grammatical errors, and generally tidied up the language and that alone increased the incoming traffic. I guess that's because google noticed the update.

Unlimited panels with DA vs limited panels with cPanel

It depends on your market. If you are using cloudlinux for instance, and have sold a reseller a specific limited amount of CPU, Memory, I/O & Bandwidth, it would be nice to allow for unlimited/unrestricted users, so in that instance, it would have to be DirectAdmin. If you insist on CPanel as a...

To what degree is your mission critical data backed up and protected using today’s technology?

I use Synology servers as by backup target. They come with all kinds of methods to do backups and are also able to synchronise themselves between sites or use AWS Glacier etc., for colder storage. The software is mostly free and well-maintained, so you are good once you've purchased the...

IPv6 is slowly gaining traction. Do you think it will eventually replace IPv4?

I don’t really think ip6 will truely take off until every home user has an ip6 address on their routers

How visitors can trust on your hosting business?

Be careful what support you offer though. If the customer is having you do everything for them and treating you like a managed service, then make sure they are paying you like a managed service or they are doing your business more harm than good. Letting go of uneconomic customers was a big step...

Synology VMM won't boot Centos or Alma Linux 9

Has anyone else found that CentOS/Alma 9 won't boot on Virtual Machine Manager. Has anyone found a solution?

    Demand for reseller hosting

I don't think you will have to compete with kiddie hosts for long. If they make little to no profit, the first time they have a server issues which takes out 100s of domains, they won't have the resources to fix it in a timely manor and they will disappear. The pricier hosts are pricier...

    Dedicated hosting vs Cloud hosting

If you take dedicated server hardware, when you outgrow this you will have to configure a 2nd server or migrate to a larger server, if you have taken a cloud server, you should be able to have that cloud server resized, which often only requires a reboot to complete. Cloud servers are more...

    RAID Levels?

Our data SANs have all of their LUNs configured RAID 10, over 8 disks. Our backup SANS have all of their LUNs in RAID 6 over 8 disks. Although technically we don't allow advertise the configurations and don't take requests, so sorry for not fully answering the OPs question.

    Payment gateway

We just use Stripe and PayPal, We've tried others, but users gravitate towards these two, so we've dropped the others to get better throughput and terms on these two.

    Best domain provider ?

We use NetEarthOne. I've always found them helpful, with good pricing, and I've been able to talk to them when I've wanted to query something.
