    We noticed a spike on BLACK FRIDAY despite not really having major promotions for Black Friday. People were probably looking for great deals, and settled with what deemed to be the best for their use case on BF. So it definitely increases sales a bit.

    We've been using Blesta for years, and for it's price there are no complains. It's also more open than WHMCS so you can make tweaks to your liking

    Starting a VPS hosting service

    It would make sense if you have a lot of clients and want to reduce costs.. ( So you have several sysadmins mantaining the servers 24/7 ). However, without the client volume, its best not to do so, as it would only increase cost and maybe even reduce performance/uptime.

    To what extent are hosting providers responsible for ensuring the privacy of user data?

    When you mention security site do you mean like data breaches ? I think most / large providers try their best to secure everything, but every now and then, they do get breached. GoDaddy has been breached every year since 2020.. Digital Ocean was breached in 2021..

    What control panel do you use mostly?

    We are currently using cPanel + Direct Admin. Have a few other licenses like ApisCP but it's development seems to have been halted in the last few years. DA / CPANEL / PLESK are probably the most matured + actively developed panels out there.

    For larger hosts, they may host something like 200,000 accounts. On average, each account might only use 1-2 GB Bandwidth a month, so a couple of heavier users that use 100TB++ would not affect the cost of operation much.
