Best hardware brand.

Dell are well known for sure with their first class hardware not only for servers and being first class server hardware parts manufacturer is not surprise. I know supermicro too, not sure but i think they are more oriented towards motherboards. Other brands :) ?

Supermicro is often referred to as 'white label' goods. They're a chassis & mobo brand, but everything else is completely down to you in terms of how you want it spec'ing. Certain Supermicro dealers do WD Drives, some don't. It's all down to the dealer after that.

Dell, HP etc - they'll full component companies. They make components that designed to work optimally together.

Dell also offer additional hardware support services. I'm not sure with SuperMicro though.

Many of the Supermicro dealers are great people to deal with and they'll help out.

But Dell, it's nationwide and you can call upon them any time of day too. It's certainly not always as cheap as buying a Supermicro spec'd box when buying from Dell, but the overall product/service is much better.

In hosting industries, we shall choose the hardware with lowest cost. Of cause, quality in the most concern.

dell, hp, supermicro, tyan, quanta are having similiar qualities, but only supermicro and quanta giving reasonable price.

All of the servers we own are Supermicro and I highly recommend. Servers colo'ed by our customers are lots of different brands with the most used being Dell and then Supermicro. We have seem the most problems with Dell servers and they are the hardest to work on.
