It really depends on your requirements. The type of websites you plan to run, your budget, if you need full control of the server, etc. Sooner or later if you know you will need to upgrade to a dedicated server, it is better to buy it now rather than upgrading and moving all the websites onto a new server.

will there be any issue if i migrate from vps to dedicated server

Dedicated server depends entirely on your requirements. If you require frequent upgrades with high security then a dedicated server is best you can have.

If you are having high traffic website which needs higher resources, good amount of monthly bandwidth, you should go with Dedicated Server.

I would most often recommend a cloud VPS. A dedicated server offers little to no benefit over one.

1. Snapshots of the filesystem take seconds and cost peanuts.
2. Hardware upgrade and downgrades are a mere reboot away.
3. If you hardware node fails, your machine is back in minutes on another node.

With a virtual server, resources are shared with other customers on the node. With a Dedicated Server it is unshared.

If it is a new company and you are in the start-up phase a VPS with SSD hard drives and a guaranteed amount of resources might be a better choice. It will save you money and you can always upgrade later to a dedicated server as your business' needs grow.

So today, if you are handling a website with huge traffic then using a dedicated server for such website, is one of the best options. So when you buy a dedicated server you get better bandwidth, with best in class web space. And today most of the companies will look forward to buying a hosting service that gives more power and control. So in that case choosing dedicated hosting is one of the best options.

It depends on your needs if your website running with big traffic you prefer dedicated server otherwise VPS would be enough.

If you are expecting huge traffic and are using complex dynamic websites (lots of php, scripts and stuff) a dedicated is highly recommended as it uses all its resources to run your website.

But it highly depends on what exactly are you planning to host, for small websites a VPS is enough (and cheaper)

It depends on how much resources your application needs. For small and medium websites a virtual server can be enough. If you have multiple applications then a dedicated server with virtualized machines would be recommendable.

It depends on the requirements i.e. traffic on the website. If you have high traffic and large database you can go for dedicated server else in the stat you can go for VPS server .

The types of websites or companies which must have a Dedicated Server
  • High Traffic Websites
  • Websites Requiring High Security, such as banking websites
  • eCommerce Website
  • Websites with High Profile Clients
  • For Reselling Business
