What would make you want to go with a host when buying a reseller account?

Is there any one thing that would make you want to go with a certain host when looking for a reseller account?

For example, maybe if the host provides scripts for you as a reseller, support to your clients for free or anything similar?
 
I usually look at the reputation of the company and then the price.. quality then quantity.. I don't really look for fantastico or any other other stuff.. no fancy skins required either..
 
I would look at the history and reputation of the provider. How well they communicate with customers not only presales but ina crisis situtation. Next I look at a compromise of pricing versus resources. Offering scripts, utilities, support, on online builders is just a plus.
 
I would check ifthey have forums to see how they communicate with their customers and how they handle support problems.

I would also want support available on my timezone, I dont need phone or 24hour support though.
 
I'd look for someone that is there constantly. As a reseller, you're going to be the middle man in the situation. You need to have a host that you can get answers from no matter when.
 
Even though I don't have a reseller and would never use a reseller I would honestly have to look at what they provide. I would read reviews but not just take them into account. Every host is diffrent there is only the right host for you.
 
Hey john I just did this, I have the dedicateds for Unix but decided to go with a reseller for Windows until I felt that I have mastered it I didn't want to full with any of the back end stuff just yet.
What did I look for in choosing the company I did, Good reputation, friendly staff, I called a couple times and they were quick to answer, didn't put me on hold for more than a couple minutes if they had too, customer forum was important to me as i prefer to look for answers on my own before submitting a ticket for support. My first e-mail to this company was that they implement a suggestion to make all the documents in pdf or printable format, I received a reply the same day and it was a very nice and personal reply not canned. Also the companyhad to offer the control panel I wanted to try which was h-sphere. Once I joined I found out this company keeps the customers informed of any and every thing that can effect the service and I appreciate that. Those were the things I looked for, I only wish this company offered dedicated because with service like theirs I would stay on indefinitely.
