Thinking of applying for Nochex

Hi Everyone,

I was toying with the idea of replacing our current gateway provider (2co) to that of a UK one (Nochex)

The problem im having is when i look at their application form they say what our monthly credit / debit turnover is. Its quite hard for me to answer that because it ranges from anything between £20 to £500. Obviously in the eyes of nochex we would probably still be in the realms of a low processing merchant and would be better suited for their seller account. Unfortunately with their seller account you are only able to accept payments from the UK and they can only be a maximum of £100 unless you are a member in which case its £300. This presents numerous problems especially since we are an international company so we would need to be able to accept credit / debit from most countries.

Because of that it would mean we would need to get a merchant account which would suit our needs perfectly but i am unsure of the set-up price because it states that the base fee of £50 may increase depending on different factors for example low processing merchants. Whats also annoying is that they don't have a sales email or form for which i can ask the price of the set-up.

Before i proceed with the merchant application and pay the set-up fee (of which i am unsure of) i was just wondering if any users on this forum use or have used Nochex and what their experiences were with the company.

You might want to drop a PM to Will. Will used to work at Nochex a year or so ago and might be able to give some good advice here.

Hi Matthew,

I think you should also check with google checkout, they don't have set-up fee, you get $50 in free AdWords advertising in addition.

We found google checkout a little too much of a pain to setup. Paypal and nochex are great if you want to cover most bases!
