Social media as a primary marketing venue

I've read where small businesses are driving content marketing initiatives by double that of large businesses. Over two-thirds attribute social media as their primary marketing venue. Why?

Depends if you just use FB groups or FB advertising.

with Groups yes many businesses use these, i do and i run a few, but even them many are full of spam posts as a lot of groups are not administered.
but in general social media has taken over from forums.
with my mugs i make more sales through social media than do from my website or ebay.
