As some of you may have noticed, our forum was turned off for a few hours today. The reason was the attack on HostingDiscussion.com that is still under investigation by HD team. The attack resulted in creation of hundreds of new accounts in a matter of minutes.
It is for this reason, as of Dec 30, 2004, we are disabling the registration page to prevent any further sign-ups until further notice. This is a temporary measure that would help us bring the forum back in full swing, as well as investigate the issue and correct the data influenced by this childish and despicable act.
As our team continues to work on this incident, we believe we found the person responsible and it is just a matter of time before we confirm the identity and do whatever it takes to make sure it never happens again.
