Dear HostingDiscussion.com Friends,

It gives me the utmost pleasure to announce the release of HostingDiscussion.com “SHE” – the biggest project we have attempted since this community came to be. SHE stands for Social Hosting Experience, which directly reflects the social mindset of its design and mission.

So what is SHE? SHE is a new social version of HostingDiscussion.com, the first draft of which was presented back in November 2006. We didn’t know exactly what we were going to build, but we knew we were about to reinvent the way You, forum members, communicate and share. The Web is changing; the User-Web relationship is changing, so it was about time we took the step forward as well.

However, SHE is far from reaching its full potential! In months to come, we will introduce a number of new exciting applications that would enable you to have a more interactive, informative and memorable experience. The mission of the new SHE release is to give our users cool new tools that will help them benefit by gaining new connections and new ideas. And yes, this part of the project will remain confidential.

At this time I would just like to give a credit to all the people who have been involved in developing and shaping the new HostingDiscussion.com vision:

Each member of HostingDiscussion.com staff for great feedback, ideas and support.
Lucian Slatineanu for delivering the most original graphic design.
Nicholas Mercader on graphic coding.
Enrique Orioli and Alec Baker on modifications/installations.
Ryan Amos on coding, bug fixing, modifications and custom development.

And to all the forum members for your patience!

On behalf of all HD crew, I hope you enjoy the new site. It takes a little time getting used to, but once you do, you know there is no going back! :)

Yes the colors are interesting. Very unique. They really stand out but yet again they really don't, LOL. Just one of those designs I guess.

All in all I think everything looks fantastic and can't wait to see some of the new features coming this way.

Well it's about time SHE gave birth ;)

Colours are fantastic, it's good to see a Hosting forum that stands out. The colour Blue has been done-to-death.

Many thanks to these guy's for developing a fantastic theme and especially Art who I'm sure worked his socks off to make sure everything worked out ok.

Thank you for the interesting comments, guys. There were a few proposed layouts and color palettes, but we made sure to pick the best that would reflect the maturity and professionalism of this community.

We are now shifting to developing a number of applications, and we have the best people for the job: Mark Klink, the president of avidInteractive and Ryan Amos, the vBulletin God himself. We simply can't fail when you have them in your corner. :shout:

I like it, but now I have to relearn where all my links are.

Edit: After clicking on "New Posts" I can't seem to find the "Mark Forums Read" link. I loved that link, where'd it go?

Good point, John. We'll work on that. At this time "Mark Forums Read" link is available on forum homepage only.

And trust me, once you get used to this format, you'll be on autopilot. :D

Super cool stuff. Looks great, feels great, and as far as I can see, works great. :)

Oh no, not another bot! :P

I like it. Well done!! The colours are different to what I have seen on a site before, but they look great and work very well together.

The Number of Unread Posts on the right is very handy however the number changes on different pages.

Marks, I believe the number changes determined by the current forum you are viewing.

The home page displays the total, while each forum's displays that forum's total.
