What review websites do you often visit before choosing a hosting provider?

I believe best way is to contact the provider to see how fast the answer is, most of the reviews over the internet are paid, so not a trust source of information.

As for true reviews websites, I read HostAdvice, Trustpilot and WHTop.

Of course, you can read the reviews and this is not a mistake, but still keep in mind that many of them are purchased and are not completely true. It's best to really familiarize yourself with the provider that interests you.
