Reseller Hosts

Hey all

Would you mind if you were with a reseller host or would you rather go directly to the company?

I don't really care about that sort of thing. As long as I get good service.

Just depends on the person. Some people feel the longer a company has been around the better they can be. Look at APlus.net they suck, but have been around a long time.

If the person running the hosting business then that's good enough for me. Although I have had the habit of trying to find out who they get their reseller accounts from so I can check them out as well.

I guess thats why people don't usually say who they get their reseller space from.

Yup but unbranded nameservers can be a problem specially when you are just starting out in the industry.

Also if someone does a reverse lookup they can find out

Sometimes a reseller host can offer better support than their provider does, as well as offer better pricing. Not always, but there are sometimes. Research is the key. Reseller or not, it wouldn't matter if they had a stellar record.
