I think that everyone who visits HostingDiscussion regularly noticed we performed some minor changes with our layout. Here is what what we did and why:
1. We removed the "Latest Thread" box that was located in the sidebar on forum's home page. According to many, it was a very inefficient way to view the latest content or identify which forum a particular thread was posted in. Instead of the "Latest Thread" box, the titles of active threads are moved back to the forum's main display. It does make things easier to view.
2. We removed the Sponsor Box advertising banner (125x125) and removed the Google AdSense skyscaper banner and substituted it with 1 skyscraper banner you see on your right. We added this banner on forum and thread display pages in order to raise some money for HER. You know, taking care of women do cost a lot of money.
We continue to work on the slight alignment issue that it caused on thread display pages.
