I don't believe ASP and PHP support goes together, but I would recommend you to take a look at www.micfo.com, my personal host choice for this forum. They do support multiple domains (international I think as well), PHP, phone support and are cost-effective.

I did not have any experience with an ASP (Windows) based hosting, so can't recommend anything.

Best,

you are correct. ASP can be run as a module, but it doesn't include all of the features as the full ASP version.

And you canot have cPanel on Windows Server, access and mssql runs only on windows servers, so it is better to look for host that offer windows.

You can use a script to that connects to a MSSQL database, but it is not the same thing

Actually, you can use the TDS layer, install the RPM, recompile php, and it will compile it with sybase_ct, which will allow MS SQL access, and it will react exactly the same.

Access is a little harder, and may not work the same as on a Windows server.

CPanel is also creating a version for Windows.

Most Windows hosts won't have php so you may need to do some serious searching, it might not be impossible but it's sure not a common request.

Also you list the need for many domains and a variety of options some of which are Windows type and others more common on *nix platforms. You might check to see if you have some sites or domains that are Windows specific and those that are more *nix specific. (That's what it sounds like from your request)
If that was the case you would be best served (pun intended) by getting 2 smaller accounts, one on a Windows platform, the other on *nix. Then you could put each domain on what suited it best and perhaps get all the functions you want as well as better performance (and the price shouldn't be too bad since you would have smaller accounts)

While there are many "work-around" programs to run asp on non-Windows environments all have their drawbacks somewhere or another and while some apps may work just fine others may not. ASP is a "Windows thing" and I'm sure it was no small accident they designed it to be difficult to make fully work cross-platform.

?

why do you need asp and php together? does this need to be under one account or maybe you shoudl get 2 hosts and 2 accounts? I have never seems to find an all in one so I have a windows box and several linux boxes to cover it all.

Hello, did you try searching for hosts at web hosting directories?
It is the easiest way to find what you are looking for as you don't have to search for each web host's web site and dig for information.

www.************** is one of the most helpful web hosting directories. It allows you to browse categorised web hosts, search them based on their pricing and features provided. It really saves a lot of time.

Furthermore, you can use the Get-a-Quote service of HostMarker. You can request FREE hosting quotes from web hosts that match your needs. You don't even have to seach for a web host, they contact you by email and provide both pricing and feature information. :santa:

www.hostquote.com also helps in getting quotes from many web hosts.

Other sites I can recommend you are:
www.hostsearch.com - very nice categories, lots of customer reviews
www.hostpulse.com - another good hosting resource
www.webhostingtalk.com - very good for researching a specific web host. Many people discuss their past experiences here
