Hello,

Anyone in here ever try MizerHost.com. If so I would like to have your feedback. I currently have a free option and I wonder if I should be foward. I did not have any problems yet and I can actually say the service is pretty good but will that last?

Thanks!

They are brand new.
There a several links on their site.
They are a reseller so stability may be a problem. It will depend on how stable Surpass Hosting is.

Stick with the free option for a while would be my advice. Give them a chance to prove themselves over the long run.

Its great to see that they claim that they own their own equipment.

a little familiar????

Obviously looking for quick money...i would say avoid. They obviously don't care about being honest with their customers.

They have a CEO???? Don't you need a board of directors or something to have a CEO???

And "a Mizer Company"??? Sure...ok....

As blue said, they are VERY new...July 20th actually, so if you do want to consider them, they really do need a chance to prove themselves.

Yeah...so i think that about covers it ;)

blueskies, are you still a client with Surpass Hosting? It seems that you are not by viewing the way you are bashing the company on various web hosting forums, in an almost personal way. I strongly suggest you seek a solution to your problems and move on with your web site growth.

This alone does not merit the conclusion that the owners of that site are not honest. They have simply copied the data center information page. Many resellers do this but it is true of course that they should not say they "own" the data center as that is in actuality false.

If they falsely say they own the DC then indeed "They obviously don't care about being honest with their customers."

From their page:
75% of web hosting companies do not have their own Data Center and have no access to their servers without the assistance of a 3rd party. If an issue ever arises, we can physically go to the server within 10 minutes and address the issue without relying on someone else. That is priceless and peace of mind for you, the client.

What more can I say...

I think you are being too harsh on them. I know they have just started their website and know only a little about hosting. They aren't totally aware of how it looks. Once they get some customers asking about the truth in that, then it would come out into the open and be fixed. It needed to be edited from the get go, but live and learn.

You shouldn't start hosting knowing only a little. In my opinion, you should be passionate and devoted to the industry. You should research the industry and determine the best way for you to get started, or if the industry is really for you. It shouldn't be a "if you build it, they will come" type business. Honesty is the key factor in any business. If the company cannot be honest from the start, there is little chance about them being honest in the future.

And I completely disagree that once the truth comes out, it will be fixed. It must likely will be fixed, but the company will lose credibility in a major way. Honesty is key!

You might be right. I've been a bit nervous these last few hours. Not really feeling like myself... :(

Some out there really are out there to scam. However, this customer is a poster in our forum actually (over 400 posts) and has always seemed like a very good person, always helps out. I just don't think they realize what they are doing at this point. It seems to me they want to stress the point that they have faith in where they have their server, but doing it in the wrong way- fully copying the text.

On the legal side, isn't that a copyright violation that you (SurpassHosting) should be looking into (I don't know...maybe you allow resellers to use content on your site)? MizerHost is probably trying to run a respectable business, but there are many people out there who will look very far into a host before they pay, and its never good to leave a bad first impression.

This has been a topic over at the Surpass forum in the past, both about using content from the Surpass site as well as the whole "we own our own datacenter" thing.

As I remember, nothing was ever really resolved, and people just kind of did what they wanted. I think Surpass is OK with borrowing some content, but didn't want to see a total "cut 'n paste". I don't know that there was ever any policy set concerning it. Personally, I wouldn't go there. Others did. I don't feel a need to provide a link to Surpass on my reseller site, but I'm not going to say anything that could/would be deemed an untruth.

I'll show icons for the hardware that is used, but won't claim that I own it.

John
