Just saw a product called Just Egg (Plant Based). How does that happen? Are there plant chickens?

The problem with JUST Egg is the same problem that a lot of plant based alternatives to animal derived foods have, which is that you end up with something hyper-processed.

Just take a look at the ingredients list:
Water, Mung Bean Protein Isolate, Expeller-Pressed Canola Oil, Contains less than 2% of Dehydrated Onion, Gellan Gum, Natural Carrot Extractives (Color), Natural Flavors, Natural Turmeric Extractives (Color), Potassium Citrate, Salt, Soy Lecithin, Sugar, Tapioca Syrup, Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate, Transglutaminase, Nisin (Preservative)

We don't eat eggs or meat at home, my wife is vegetarian and she doesn't like eggs. But we don't buy any of this hyper-processed stuff either, there are enough options with beans, seeds, veg and fruit that are happy to be what they are without the need for them to pretend to be form an animal.
