Installing Windows 7 on new generation of laptops ?

Hello,

I want to install windows 7 on a new generation of ASUS but I cannot. I receive this error: windows setup experienced an unexpected error
Any ideas ?

Are you installing from an USB Flash drive or the CD-ROM?

Also, when you get this error is at the very beginning when launching setup, when selecting a drive to install, or at any other moment during setup?

Your laptop specs would come very handy to help you diagnose your problem.
Would be also good to know if you're trying to install to HDD or SSD, etc.

New generation laptops won't install Windows 7. You need to upgrade it to Windows 10.

There are some workarounds to install Windows 7 even on modern hardware, but it may be more or less difficult to do, depending on the motherboard and CPU.

i.e. If it's a Ryzen CPU, it definitely won't work with Windows 7, but on most Core processors shouldn't (theoretically) be a problem.
