I am looking for reliable and reputable credit card processor. I need to accept CC payments for a few products i sell online, so if anyone can suggest a CC processor, it would be appreciated.

Paypal works best for me and it's what I am currently using. I can suggest 2CO but I don't have first hand experience with this provider.

Last month; I was looking to buy a credit card processor. But I was not sure about the things I should look for before making the final decision. Then I came to know about an e-book. It helped to buy the credit card processor online. I thought it might be helpful for you therefore wanted to share that you can get the e-book at http://www.merchant-accounts.com/e-book.pdf

May be it will help your time to make final decision before making an order to buy credit card processor.

I would recommend you to go with 2CO and if it dont works, then go for paypal.

2CO have a small sign up fee and theur rates are cheap as well(not by paypal) but PayPal rates are cheapest I've found. But if you are going with PayPal, go with PayPal Pro for a monthly fee of $20

I thought paypal would be ideal choice but then not many reviews were in favor, when i googled for it.

I am confused if 2CO is worth it or if anyone can suggest better alternative, i can may be have a choice and option to exercise. :)

If you still want to go for PayPal, then go upgrade to PayPal Pro. It makes act you as card processor and makes PayPal hidden one:)

we have been succesfully using paypal for years...and had thousands of dollars paid to us via credit cards...
it works really smooth ..
and barely any fees,!!
you should go with pp

Why don't you get your own Merchant account? Are you eligible for that? And don't follow reviews about PayPal. It is fine and provides API and real merchant solutions... not just PayPal account to PayPal account payments.

If you are just starting out and don't expect that many transactions per month, you might want to go with Paypal & 2checkout.com, which I've used and never had a problem with.

If you think you will do sales in the volumes of $500 or more, you may want to consider getting your own merchant account. I just signed up with CDCommerce from one of their specials and it was setup within 1 week and they seem to specialize with online (especially hosting) businesses.

we mainly use 2checkout but we have also just introduced Google Checkout - both better than paypal in my opinion
