Hosting/Dedicated provider with DB support

Hello,

I have several sites with Godaddy, but their lack of any real support leaves something to be desired. Does anybody know of a decent provider that has options for database support (mysql) and the like?

Any held is greatly appreciated.

I believe I answered such a question on another forum today already, however quoting again, most leading providers do provide MySQL support, however you may search forums for reviews of the top hosts that you find before you decide which one to choose. Some one suggested that some hosts have limits to databases that you can host, however leading providers don't have such limits.

Many host do have resource limits you need to worry about if you have a big database. I was just reading on another forum about a site on HostGator that was suspended for high usage.

The resource usage for databases usually are indeed taken into account, heavily used databases should be tweaked . The number of databases are usually set unlimited, by most of the hosts.

Have a look at the "Acceptable Use Policy" which should indicate the restrictions set. Action will most likely be taken if you exceed these restrictions as you may be affecting the server's performance.
