so right yes over 12 minths ago i took out an offer for one of their free VPS, which never worked as it was using shred IPs, so forgot about it and never used it.

But this email states it was a success, so they are closing it, well if it was a success why are they closing it down, seems strange

Did you reach out to them about the issues you experienced? If not, hard to bash them for it.

Success comes in many different forms, financially maybe it wasn't a success. In terms of user growth? Now that might have been a success. From their message I am only going to guess that users were signing up for it though not enough were converting to their "premium" brand which led to the closure.

Hopefully the extra funds on hand will allow them to improve their paid division. Good luck to all their clients.

its called adviritse or spam ;) and alot businesses doing it

I wouldn't go as far as spam. Their free operation has been running for years, most likely they weren't getting enough conversions onto their paid platform to the point it was costing them to much than it was worth.

Most go out this way.

Resources. This is the first thing you look at in a host, if it provides the space, bandwidth and add-on domains you need incase your site becomes successful.
