Fusion-Hosts Shuts Down

Fusion-Hosts.com will be shutting down. All clients have till the 18th of September to find a new host. The reason I am closing down is due to my health. The stress involved with this industry has taken it's toll on me. I figured I could withstand it like I do with everything but that was not the case.

I visited a doctor and he told me whatever I was doing I should stop as if I continued it would mean certain bad things in the future. I will not go into further detail but note I gave it my all and tried to make it work.

I hope all my clients find a new and better host that can take care of their needs.

Fingers crossed for you. I've seen many a good host close their doors, and stress is definitely a contributing factor to just about any business. If the doc says stop, then you have to do it. You've got your whole life ahead of you yet, so something else will come along and hopefuly less stressful!
 
I am sorry to hear that as well. I hope you find something less stressful to occupy your time.

As far as your clients go, have you considered selling them and raising money for your next project, rather than just letting them go.
 
I tried, but now I feel it is best that they find their own host. This way I won't have to choose a host for them. If something bad were to happen it would be my fualt.

Also, I oppurtunity arose and I plan to pursue it. I will be doing the same work as I did with FH except I won't have to worry about tickets while I sleep, bills, advertising, etc. I can relax and do what I love.

I’m sad to see another host go especially after seeing your enthusiasm when discussing design topics :) however it’s good to see your able to continue to work without the overhead stress currently surrounding this industry many of us love to work in. Hope it goes well :)

I sure hope you will continue to stick around the forums with this new idea of yours. :agree:
 
I will. Also, I feel the client should choose their own host, not for me to do it for them. If the host turns out to be bad then that will reflect back on me and will become my fualt.

My clients respect me and if I give them to a bad host then that respect can never be earned back...No matter how hard I try to do so.

Art, I could never leave HD...HD is like another home for me :) Reason I have not been posting is becuase I have been dealing with some stuff at home, resting, and some other stuff. Once FH finally closes I will have more time to chat with the people I have come to know and respect. :)
