forum submission is valued in seo site ?

Hy guys, I want to know "forum submission"(OFF Page technique) is now valued in SEO?. Will forum profile or forum signature boost our ranking nowadays?

Does quality forum activity help you grow your business? Absolutely. Members get to know you, your level of knowledge and helpfulness, which all makes them more comfortable.

When a company posts their special deals in the advertising section, visitors and members appreciate knowing if the company takes an active role in the community. I shop the same way - if I see a deal, I research the company throughout and try to learn more about who is behind the account.

Strong relevant web hosting backlink(s) to your website certainly does help your SEO.

Whether a signature boosts that I am not sure. Regardless of that, we employ a nofollow script on signature spaces. From the rules:

If you are a spammer, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. All of your posts will be deleted and account terminated.
If you are here to build signature backlinks (trust us, we know how to tell), your signature will be deleted in all of your posts and your profile page. NOTE: This is a "=NOFOLLOW" forum.

This is done to (a) increase the quality of signature content and (b) prevent signature spam, which helps both the community and account holder not get too many links in/out, which in some cases can do more harm.

If you will provide the best resolution for the every technical query with the best answers then definitely it will help to grow your business.

There are number of technical and no-technical people which will visit your website or contact you just by your best posts on the forum so it's one of the best off-page SEO technique.

Forum Submission is one of the best essential technique in off page optimization. It will also help you to increase the traffic to your website.

Forum submission doesn't have as much affect as it once did, honestly. You want to focus more on social media submission, spreading the content you share and use to multiple platforms. Forums are essentially dead as a doornail as far as traffic is concerned

But as with doormail, it depends on how you use it. Use it properly and at the right audience then you will get results.

Social Media have no guarantees either as with doormail you has to do it properly to get results there as well.

Social media have more reach. Forums have very little, if any reach at this point.

Yes but you also has to consider conversions. Just because the the "pipe is huge" doesn't means you will get "a lot of water" to your website.

Like with pumping water the more you want out of it the more work you need to do. IE in order for Social Media to "pays off" you need to treat it like a totally separate project altogether.

At least on forums like here as long as you are an active member you bond to get returns. Maybe not a ton and half traffic but assuming your participation is quality and thought out you will likely still get decent conversions.

In the case of highly specialty IT topics such as web hosting, social media doesn't have much bragging rights. People go on social media to socialize, not read about servers or look for web hosting. Sure you can probably profit from some general advice, but how many of your friends will be able to explain how to secure a server?

And certain social media apps has next to zero value to web hosting industry, such as Instagram. More reach? You bet. But completely useless. :)

So for subjects such as these, people's best bet are still industry specific groups and communities, if they really want to be engaged.

Forum posting plays a vital role in off page submission of SEO. The forum is a community website where the members can seek help by making questions as well as share their knowledge based on their niche content.
The main advantage of forums posting is that it generally helps a great deal to your website and business in many ways. From the backlink perspective also forum posting is really important.

I believe that social media is killing forums which is bad specially for forums like web hosting forums which are much better and serious people are here, as Artashes mentioned no one is looking for servers in social media.

Regarding seo it helps little bit, but the real purpose of forum is to know the members and it makes you active in the community some how.

You are making a good point, and it is true partially. While social media certainly made its impact on forums in general, when it comes to web hosting specifically, there has been a shift in the marketplace. 10 years ago, when shared hosting plans could easily cost $20-30/month, people were more scared to make a mistake in picking a company as it represented a meaningful cost. Today you can buy the same shared hosting for $20-30/year, so it is no longer something consumers have to worry about. So I've noticed a decrease in C2B and an increase in B2B activity. Another reason for forums to decline is that most answers can be easily found through Google.

However, I still believe forums have their place. Whether it is a pet forum or web hosting, when you are faced with a question or an issue you need the answer to, you aren't going to be asking it through social media - you will want to come to a place full of enthusiasts and professionals specializing on the subject.

So yes, forum presence and participation is still very much important, for both SEO and general marketing. You are establishing yourself as a company and as a professional, and if you are around frequently, you increase chances of those coming here looking for advice or answers to notice your name.

a lot of company now use facebook rather than forums. I know when i set up a dolphin based site (gives a lot more than just a basic forum) no matter what i did to advertise it all i got was spammers, so set up a FB group and this got a whole load of members, but i find out a lot of people think it is FB so they can do anything they want

Main reason of doing Forum posting is to generate backlinks.Forum posting is preferred by large number of people as it is very easy to do. There are lots of web forums on the internet where you can share your opinion about different topics and get backlinks very easily.

This is the first time I hear that a lot of companies now use Facebook instead of forums. Certainly companies have a Facebook page, but never heard of a truly busy Facebook community that helps each other.

A number of years ago companies used forums for a few reasons. Partially it was a great way to create a community of members who might be coming to each others rescue (decreasing the volume of support requests), knowledge base, pre-sales center, marketing; and a great way to show that the company is also very active. There were a few successful companies whose websites were based on nothing but vBulletin.

But while a number of forum-based web hosting companies have declined (or those companies that offered a forum as a community option), I didn't really notice Facebook becoming much of a substitute in that function.

If your answer is effective and able to solve the query. Surely your business will be grow. People will be curious to know about you if you are able to solve their problems but apart from that I think social media would be the best option to grow your business.
