Can anyone tell exactly what its meaning with ''Domain defender''? some registrar giving as extra facilities.

It's just a marketing term, not an "Official name" of something.

It's a service some registrars (ourselves included) offer which applies an additional lock to stop any updates to the domain.

Like othellotech mentioned, it's not an industry term, only a feature that some web host came up with to include/offer to clients.

It's basically added protection to your account and warns you via email when updates are made to your domain.

Just about every registrar has similar services/features.

It guard your domain name after expiry and before expiry, it guard your client status to be deleted by hackers or some thief organization.

To summarize it: It guards your domain name to be transferred by anyone else.

As others have said, this is not used for whois privacy. It's used to help keep your name secure so a hacker couldn't try moving it outside of your account!

Domain Defender is a free service that offers increased levels of security for your account and protection of your domains.
