Curious how many actually take white space into consideration when designing websites

Your thoughts?

Newspapers generally have very dense copy with minimum white space, but does that transition well into web design?

Successful websites, in other words – sites that receive lots of relevant traffic, incorporate measured amounts of white space to:

Ensure legibility & readability
Enhance attractiveness & professional image, and
Solidify brand awareness
Promote conversions

How much effort do you put into managing white space on your designs, or is that simply a byproduct of your overall theme?

You just reminded me the fact, that printer cartridge resource (in pages) is counted when covering 5% of it in ink or toner. It is an interesting question overall, but I don't think anyone create designs based on amount of white space to be used:) Only some search engines start pages, perhaps :)
