Billing Software

There are a bunch of billing scripts available for web hosts, with prices ranging from free to several hundred dollars. Some of these include ModernBill, WHMAutoPilot, ClientExec, PHPCOIN, LPanel, and WhoisCart. What billing software, if any, do you use? Why did you choose this software over all of the others?

I have heard that PHPCOIN is pretty good, i think it is free too.. I think that ModernBill is the best from what I have seen though.

I've used whoiscart, phpcoin and I've decided to go with ClientExec for ease of use and easy integration. I've been tweeking it and learning it for about 4 weeks and will be fully integrating CE after the first of the year. Definitely the easiest to use from what i've tried.

We are using H-Sphere for 3 years now. The integrated administration interface of Hshpere provides resellers a the widest array of tools to manage their hosting enterprise. It use the automated billing system to automatically invoice and charge your customers.

In Hsphere ? you are getting billing as a part of it and completely integrated. You can custom bill for additional services (recurring, one time, any other frequency) and so on...Like

* Variety of payment methods
* Setup, recurrent, and overlimit pricing
* Taxes
* Tax exemption
* Email invoicing
* Reports
* Billing history
* Suspending debtors
* Discounts for different billing periods
* Promotions for plans
* Credit limit changeable on user-by-user basis
* Multiple billing profiles
* Refunds

I think H-sphere is scalable.

Owning owned licenses to modernbill, clientexec and whmap we are moving away from WHMAP. Their v3 is a major disappointment, especially after today it decided to send out every invoice a customer has ever had to the customer as due, when the balance is $0.

I would highly recommend ClientExec. We used to have WHMAutoPilot but their software is pretty messy. Now with v3 we thought it would improve but it's even worse. We don't find it a reliable script. We have prefer ClientExec.

I use ClientExec and love it. Affordable, great support by Alberto and the guys, easy to use and setup.

Most important features

clientexec use to use modern bill but its overpriced and I dont need that many features

We've been running clientexec for well over half a year now. It definitely gets my vote. The fact of the development being steady and as new features are added bugs are resolved and patched usually within a matter of hours to days is a great plus.

i have to say that WHM is one of the best because it has so many extra features.

Likewise, I did exactly the same :)

I've used ModernBill and.....friendly? Eh, Negative. Beautiful? Yes. Very well equipped? Yes. But again, friendly? No. Not for the customer, or the host. I have also dealt with ClientExec, and also provided that to resellers of a past company I managed, I liked ClientExec, and so did everyone else.

I'm currently using accountlabplus it has been working well for me for a couple of years now. I have some experience with PHPcoin it can get costly with per user costs.
