Cloudflare, Fastly, Akamai, and DigitalOcean each built out tooling over the past year on the assumption that deploying AI agents<\/a> is complicated and that developers need somewhere reliable to run them.<\/i> That assumption proved correct, and those products found real traction. None of the affected companies revised their financial guidance after the announcement, and that restraint reflects a reasonable read on the timeline. Installed workloads do not migrate quickly, and regulated industries will move carefully until compliance documentation catches up.
