Oracle<\/a> has secured an 88 million dollar contract with the United States Air Force to deliver cloud infrastructure services under the Department of Defense Cloud One<\/a> program, reinforcing its position in the federal multi cloud landscape.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cloud One operates as a multi vendor, multi cloud environment designed to provide mission application owners across the DoD with access to commercial cloud capabilities under a centralized framework. Through this latest award, Oracle will supply Oracle Cloud Infrastructure<\/a> services that support workloads across multiple classification levels, including Impact Levels 5 and 6 as defined by the Defense Information Systems Agency.<\/span><\/p>\n

The agreement follows a separate contract awarded earlier this year to Amazon Web Services<\/a> in support of the same program, highlighting how the Pentagon continues to distribute cloud responsibilities across several providers rather than relying on a single platform. Therefore, the competition among hyperscale contractors for defense workloads remains active and of high strategic value.<\/p>\n

Under the contract, Oracle will deliver dedicated infrastructure environments that are able to support Top Secret and Sensitive Compartmented Information workloads. The company also stated that its National Security Regions operate exclusively with cleared United States citizens, reflecting the strict personnel requirements tied to federal cloud operations.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to core infrastructure, mission owners within Cloud One will gain access to Oracle AI Database<\/a> 26ai. According to Oracle, the database enables organizations to combine internal and public data sets when running advanced AI driven workflows. This is in line with the overall federal interest in using artificial intelligence for defense and intelligence activities while ensuring that data controls are strict.<\/span><\/p>\n

The contract runs through December 7, 2028 on a firm fixed price basis, with services delivered from contractor designated facilities across the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although the 88 million dollar award represents a relatively modest sum compared with Oracle\u2019s broader cloud expansion<\/a> plans, it adds incremental federal revenue at a time when the company continues to invest heavily in AI focused infrastructure.
