Instead of focusing only on cloud and virtualization vendors, the community now aims at a wider range of industries that need predictable performance, stronger security, and long term reliability. Because of this shift, the release carries a different weight than a routine update.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"input-sentence~1\">The project concentrated heavily on modernization. Developers lifted long standing toolchain requirements and aligned the build system with current compiler standards. As a result, the platform now supports the hardware features that recent processors provide and avoids several technical burdens that accumulated over the years.
