By gaining registrar status, Atom can directly handle domain transfers\u2014an operational advantage, especially for the lease-to-own model the platform popularized. But deeper ambitions are surfacing. Atom says it\u2019s building a new kind of registrar from scratch, one purpose-built for the way modern businesses and digital creators operate today.<\/span><span id=\"input-sentence~2\"><\/p>\n<p>For domain investors, Atom is promising a suite of tools that aim to go far beyond basic portfolio dashboards. One planned feature includes AI agents that identify valuable expiring domains\u2014automating the hunt in a way that might tilt the playing field.<\/span><span id=\"input-sentence~3\"> In an unexpected twist, the company plans to share revenue from expired domains with original owners, challenging the \u201cfinders-keepers\u201d norm that has long governed the secondary market.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, founders and startups will gain access to tools traditionally siloed off from registrars entirely: logo generation, audience testing, trademark guidance, and ongoing brand monitoring.<\/span><span id=\"input-sentence~4\"> The idea isn\u2019t just to register a name\u2014it\u2019s to support a brand from inception to execution.<\/p>\n<p>Although the public registrar offering is still under development, Atom\u2019s infrastructure work is already in motion.
