With major players jostling for market dominance, this year has seen notable gains, losses, and strategic moves that underscore the competitive landscape.<\/p>\n

Squarespace, still managing its acquisition of Google Domains from 2023, faced a decline in domains under management (DUM). Disruptions during the integration likely contributed to customer migration. Conversely, Gname showcased steady growth, though it lacked new registrations for the month, signaling a focus on retention and alternative expansion strategies.<\/p>\n

Alibaba made a striking comeback, climbing the leaderboard for new domain registrations. This resurgence signals potential market strategies aimed at revitalizing its standing, particularly within China. Meanwhile, TurnCommerce suffered a sharp drop, losing 250,000 domains compared to last year. This decline allowed IONOS to leap ahead, reshaping the rankings.<\/p>\n

In terms of total domains under management, GoDaddy remains the unchallenged leader with over 54 million .com domains, despite a slight decrease compared to 2023.
