During its \u201cUnscripted\u201d event in London, the company introduced several new services aimed at reshaping development workflows. These include AI-powered assistants for DevOps, coding, and QA, alongside cloud development environments (CDEs), an Artifact Registry, and Database DevOps. The goal is to streamline how teams build, test, and secure applications.<\/p>\n<p>A standout feature is the introduction of AI Assistants, designed to automate routine tasks that often slow down DevOps teams. CEO Jyoti Bansai emphasized AI\u2019s crucial role, stating it will drive &#8220;agentic workflows&#8221; where AI tackles tasks based on simple commands. The assistants can suggest pipeline changes, generate QA tests, and enhance productivity by reducing human error.<\/p>\n<p>Harness also launched its cloud development environments, known as Gitspaces, now in public beta. Gitspaces eliminate the need for local setups, providing teams with consistent environments. Built on Microsoft\u2019s devcontainer.json specification, these cloud environments are available in U.S.-based data centers, likely powered by Google Cloud.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the new Database DevOps allows developers to treat database code like application code, with versioning, rollback capabilities, and automated deployment. Harness also plans to introduce a new Artifact Registry, offering built-in security features to detect vulnerabilities in artifacts.<\/p>\n<p>Harness\u2019s integrated platform aims to make DevOps faster, smarter, and more secure, positioning the company against competitors like GitLab and GitHub.
