That pace alone tells a story: $13 million at seed in October 2024, $64.6 million in Series A a year later, $117 million more this past April, and now this latest round, each one larger and arriving faster than the last.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">What makes Verda&#8217;s pitch distinct from the usual AI infrastructure gold rush is where its compute actually comes from. The company&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/hostingdiscussion.com\/news\/while-us-ai-clouds-burn-cash-finlands-verda-quietly-turned-a-profit-and-raised-117m\/\">Finland data centers<\/a> run entirely on renewable energy, and it also operates a facility in Reykjanesb\u00e6r, Iceland, two countries not typically associated with AI infrastructure buildouts but both offering abundant clean power and naturally cool climates that cut cooling costs significantly. Verda detailed plans in September for an additional data center project in Finland&#8217;s Pyh\u00e4joki municipality, and the company is targeting more than 250 megawatts of operational capacity by 2027.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Founder and CEO Ruben Bryon framed the moment in fairly direct terms, describing a narrow window right now to build one of the defining compute companies of this generation from European soil, and warning that window won&#8217;t stay open indefinitely. That urgency tracks with how aggressively American and Asian competitors have been racing to lock down GPU supply and data center capacity over the past year.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">On the technical side, Verda plans to deploy <a href=\"https:\/\/hostingdiscussion.com\/news\/from-microsoft-to-aws-the-nvidia-vera-rubin-rush-is-officially-underway\/\">Nvidia&#8217;s Vera Rubin NVL72<\/a> systems in the coming months, and the company is also working toward S3-compatible object storage for its platform. Back in April, Verda said it would offer customers access to an AGI CPU that Arm developed jointly with Meta, built on TSMC&#8217;s 3nm process and packing 136 Arm Neoverse V3 cores running up to 3.7GHz, designed to work alongside Nvidia&#8217;s GB300 racks rather than replace them.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The investor list itself signals something about where <a href=\"https:\/\/hostingdiscussion.com\/news\/new-data-shows-europes-hosting-industry-is-losing-the-ai-default-war\/\">European AI infrastructure<\/a> money is actually coming from.
