Alongside the physical expansion, my.host has become an official registrar for the .dk domain through Punktum dk, bringing its registration, hosting, VPS and dedicated server services to the Danish market.

The Danish branch operates under CVR no. 46774922, with its local site live at my.host/dk. Behind the move sits a company that currently serves more than 45,000 customers and manages roughly 200,000 domain names, and it says it has grown without outside capital, remaining privately owned rather than folded into a private equity-backed hosting group.

That independence stands out because the Danish hosting market has consolidated sharply in recent years, with several established local brands acquired by larger groups. my.host frames its approach as the opposite, expanding into a neighboring market while keeping its ownership structure unchanged.

Timing also plays a role here. Since July 1, 2026, new .dk domains can only be registered through an accredited registrar, and existing domains still managed directly through Punktum dk must move to a registrar by June 30, 2028. As a result, my.host enters the market right as that transition creates fresh demand for registrar services.

On pricing, the company will offer .dk registrations and renewals at DKK 79 per year including VAT, and it says transfers of existing domains will be free, with any remaining registration period carried over. my.host also supports Punktum dk’s Fast Track Transfer system, which automates much of the authorization process once a domain holder approves a transfer through the self-service portal. According to the company, its renewal price currently ranks lowest among the 16 registrars tracked by DomainInsight.dk.

Looking ahead, my.host plans to add physical servers inside Denmark, which would let Danish customers host websites and applications on domestic infrastructure.

Founder Marijn Vlug described Denmark as more than a new market, saying the company wants to prove an independent provider can stay close to customers across the border too, through local presence, fair domain pricing and eventually local servers.

Dutch hosting provider my.host has opened a branch in Copenhagen and launched a Danish-language website, marking the company’s first step outside the Netherlands.
